The Foundation day of Bhandary Foundation was celebrated at Sahyadri Campus on 21 Nov 2009. Dr. Vijaya Prakash , Commissioner, Mangalore City Corporation, the chief guest of the programme lauded the Foundation for imparting quality and value-based education through its institutions. Appreciating the achievements of the Foundation, Dr. Prakash said that Bhandary Foundation is the treasure of imagination, values, creativity and quality. He also added that Sahyadri institutions have created a conducive academic atmosphere by providing world class infrastructure and excellent faculty.

 The guest of honour Mrs. Ashwini Nachappa, an international athlete and Arjun awardee, called upon the students to set goals in life and pursue everything that they do with a passion, a sense of involvement and pride so that they reach the pinnacle of excellence. She also felicitated the sports team of Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management for having achieved the Runners -Up in the VTU athletic meet.
