"National Workshop on Innovative Applications of Nursing Process":

Held on 27th & 28th July 2007 ,Candidates from 6 different states, north, south, east and west regions were present. Key note address was given by Dr. Rathna Prakash, Dean Manipal College of Nursing, Prof Abanti Gopan, Director & PG Co-ordinator of Sahyadri College of Nursing. Prof Irene Veigas, Principal Sahyadri College of Nursing , Dr. Juliana D'sa, Dean, Manipal College of Nursing Mangalore, Prof Erna Judith from College of Nursing Manipal, Prof Meera Pillai, Principal NUINS, Mangalore were the resource persons. The work shop was strengthened by group activities given in between. The workshop was repeated as per the demands of the candidates who were not able to register with in set target. The candidates voiced the satisfaction they got in terms of knowledge gain.

As a part of Malaria control programme a health talk on malaria was arranged by the health inspector and the team from corporation office visited the hostel premises. They took the blood samples of students and prophylaxis was given to the high risk students.
