The 61st Republic Day was celebrated at the college grounds on 26 Jan, 2010. Dr. D.L.Prabhakara, the principal and Director hoisted the flag and spoke about the importance of Republic Day Celebrations and called upon the teaching and student fraternity to uphold the values and traditions of the constitution.

Addressing the gathering, the Chairman of Bhandary Foundation Mr. Manjunath Bhandary emphasized the importance of two national festivals namely Independence Day and Republic Day. He said that the celebrations should not become merely symbolic but should be made more meaningful and memorable. He also said that we must conduct patriotic competitions like singing, essay writing, debate, quiz etc. Dr. A.J.Antony, the Vice- Principal also addressed the gathering and spoke about the significance of such celebrations in our life. Mrs. Nayana N Patil, the Student Welfare Officer compered the programme.
