Founder , Sampoorna Swaraj Foundation, Dr. Shankara K. Prasad visits Sahyadri
Founder and Managing Trustee, Sampoorna Swaraj Foundation, Dr. Shankara K. Prasad called upon the students to plan their career in the villages for the prosperity of our nation. He addressed the first year B.E. students on the topic “Engineering for Social Transformation”. He also shared his experience of implementation of e-Governance model prepared by him at Grama Panchayath level which helps to bring transparency in various activities of the Government. He also focused on implementing new technologies at the bottom of the pyramid and for achieving this, dedication and passion are very essential.
In the second session he interacted with MBA students on “Developing Markets at the Bottom of the Pyramid”. He emphasized on the importance of Planet, People and Profit Model ( 3 P formula) for the success of the Organization. He insisted on the activities to be implemented in villages to develop India. He also discussed how organizations can make a profit by implementing Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR ) activities. He spoke about various management concepts like six sigma model which he himself has been implementing. Finally, he concluded his talk by saying that if we are not a part of the solution then we are a part of the problem, hence we have to become a part of the solution by creative thinking and by new ideas to develop the nation.
The Chairman, Mr. Manjunath Bhandary gave the introductory note. The Principal, Dr. U. M. Bhushi and other Faculty members were present on the occasion.
The sessions were lively and very interactive and the students felt motivated.
