Champions of 14th VTU Inter Collegiate Athletic Meet 2011
Day 1 of the 14th VTU inter collegiate athletic meet started with the inaugural function which was presided over by Mrs. Ashwini Nachappa. Other dignitaries from VTU and the principal of Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology were also present. It was followed by the colourful march past of 105 colleges from VTU. The meet was declared open by the chief guest.

Valedictory Function
The valedictory function on Day 4 of the meet was presided over by Mr. Kenneth Powell, an international athlete. The president inspired the student athletes with his words. Prize distribution ceremony was held and our college was awarded the best team in the march past conducted on day 1 of the meet. Shruthi S. Shetty was awarded as the best athlete in women's section. We grabbed the overall championship in both men's and women's section. We were declared the overall champions of VTU in combined section for the second consecutive year. Both the Flags of VTU and the host college were lowered and the chairman of SMVIT declared the meet closed.
