Ms. Ashwini K. and Mrs. Vani D., Assistant Professors, Department of Civil Engineering, participated in a one day Faculty Development Program on “Hydraulic Structures and Irrigation Design - Drawing” sponsored by VTU Belgaum, held at Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology, Mysore. The resource persons were Dr. M. N. Sheshaprakash, HoD, Civil Engineering, VVIET, Mysore, and Dr. G. S. Suresh, Professor, NIE, Mysore.

Faculty Members Attend National Conference

Mrs. Roopashree & Ms. Nayana, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering,  Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, attended a two days National Conference on "Microelectronics" at Moodbidri.  The programme was jointly organized by the AIET  Moodbidri &  International Microelectronics And Packaging Society  (IMAPS). Experts from prominent organizations like  IISc, ISRO, and Honeywell  shared their industrial and academic experiences. Dr. B.N Baliga, Chairman of IMAPS   chaired the formal function.

Faculty Members Attend National Level Workshop on Cloud Computing

Mrs. Sandhya Baliga, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Ms. Shruthi Ramdas, Assistant Professor, Department of Information Science & Engineering attended a two - day National level Faculty Development Workshop at Srinivasa Institute of Technology, Mangalore. This workshop provided insights on the trends and challenges in cloud computing and the scope of research in this field. The resource team for the workshop included Prof. Ravindra Dastikop, Professor, SDMCET, Dharwad, Dr. Ganesh Aithal, Vice Principal, PACE, Mangalore, and Mr. Krishnananda Karadka, Senior Technology Architect, Infosys Technologies Limited, Mangalore.

Faculty Members Attend Workshop

Prof. Nayana. N. Patil, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering participated in a two day workshop on “Application of Optimisation Techniques for Slope Stability Analysis and Recent Methods for Stabilisation of Slopes”. The workshop was organised by NMAMIT, Nitte under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme.
Mr. Yathin K., Assistant Professor, Mechanical Department and Ms. Rincy Julie Philip, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering attended a workshop on `Introduction to Therapeutic Counseling for Engineering Teachers’ held at NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte. The workshop was enlightening with mock sessions and the discussion of ways in which student problems could be minimized by creating a nurturing environment in colleges through the enabling of the teachers.
