DRISHTI 2012 -Vision Towards Success
Day 1
The Department of Business Administration organized “Varista-Towards Excellence”, a day Postgraduate fest. The main objective of the fest is to provide a platform for the budding managers to explore the talent and knowledge. Mr. Shyamchandra Bhat, VP- Axis Bank inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural address, he elaborated the importance of such activities in addition to academics. He also appealed the students to grab such opportunities so that it helps to mould the career in a grand way. Dr. D.L. Prabhakara, Director, Sahyadri Educational Institutions, Dr. Umesh M. Bhushi, Principal, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Dr. A.P Achar, Director of the Department of Business Administration shared the dais.
On this occasion, various events related to Finance, HR, Marketing, Best Manager and Creativity were organized and the winners were awarded with trophy,certificate and cash prize.
Day 2
Creativity leads to the world of innovation of solution said Dr. Seetharam Mayya, Principal, SVS College, Bantwal after inaugurating the Under Graduate inter-collegiate Management Fest, organized by the Department of Business Administration. In his address, he elaborated on the role of students, use of their skills and talents in the process of nation building. He also added that it is possible only when the students work in groups with team spirit and creativity. Dr. Seetharam Mayya also focused on the students’ fitness to boost their self confidence and to face challenges.
Dr. Umesh M Bhushi, Principal, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, in his presidential address citing the speech of CEO of Coco Cola, stressed on striving for a balance in life. Dr. A.P. Achar, Director of Business Management shared the dais.
On this occasion, various events such as Mock Press, Collage, Story writing, Extempore, Quiz, Mime, and Dance competitions were conducted for the under graduate students of different colleges and the winners were awarded.
