In this era of globalization, both formal and informal education play an increasingly vital role in promoting economic solidarity, social cohesion and individual growth, leading to a congenial and healthy environment.

Even after six decades since independence, education is acknowledged as the main thrust area. Sri Manjunath Bhandary – a philanthropist, Social Worker and an Educationist decided to address this cause. He had the vision to establish educational institutions which will disperse the seeds of knowledge and build a more intelligent society. It was this noble zeal which led to the establishment of Bhandaryh Foundation in the year 2002.

Sahyadri Institution of Teacher's Education is the first D.Ed College in Karnataka received the ISO certificate.

Global recognition of BHANDARY FOUNDATION [R] has given it the impetus to Modernize itself, expand the existing and explore newer frontiers of knowledge for the benefit of the society. In the process, BHANDARY FOUNDATION has been continuously evolving itself, strengthening its roots with every offshoot of a new institution.
