The inception of the college was an incident the Managing Director had attended conference abroad on HIV/AIDS and was moved by the gravity of the problem. Hence he was thinking of starting a counseling center for the be patients. So the starting the nursing course was a beginning to reach this noble cause.

 A forward move was by organizing a state level conference for the students, teachers, nurses working in the hospital was arranged on 20/02/2005 and around 1000 candidates attended the conference.

The Honorable Governor of Maharasthra Sri. S M Krishna was the Chief guest and this conference was attended by many eminent personalities.The Managing Director Mr. Manjunath Bhandary always has a generous mind to help the needy for education. Hence he has offered few free seats and few seats with Concession for students who are in below poverty line and with good merit . Few other seats could be by arranging a loan facility by coordination with banks, so that the students and their parents need not run from pillar to post. With this we want to encourage our local population to come forward and take up this noble profession.
