MBAs visit AMUL in Ahmedabad, Gujarat

MBAs along with their mentor - Prof. Padmanabha B visited Anand Milk Union Limited (Amul) situated in Anand, Ahmedabad, Gujrat. The Amul Dairy was established in the year 1946 and is Asia's largest cooperative organization and largest milk supplier in India. Amul spurred India's White Revolution, which made the country the world's largest producer of milk and milk products. Amul processes 2crore litres of milk on an average every day and they produce thousands of varieties of products. Today, Amul dairy is one of India’s success stories and organizes over 10,000 village cooperatives in India.

Mr. SS Sundaran OSD, Public Relations, Amul Dairy had arranged the visit to all sections of the dairy and made presentation on AMUL model to our students.

Department of Information Science & Engineering
Introduction of the Mentor:
Prof. Suchetha G has 7 years of teaching experience. She graduated from NMAM Institute of Technology Nitte, with Computer Science & Engineering as specialization and also completed her M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from NMAMIT, Nitte. She has worked as a Lecturer in Alvas Institute of Engineering and Technology, Moodbidire for 4 years. Her area of interest is Data Mining, Machine Learning and Cyber Security.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• Anjana J Hegde is from Mulki, completed her schooling from Shri Vyasa Maharshi Vidya Peetha, Mulki and completed her PU in Vijaya PU College, Mulki. Her hobbies are dancing, listening to music and watching horror movies. She desires to work in a reputed MNCand be a succesfull engineer.
• Ullas D is from Bantwal, completed his schooling from Sharada Ganapathi Vidya Kendra, Punyakoti and completed his PU from NSAM, Nanthoor. His hobbies are Yakshagana, playing volley ball and drawing. He desires to be a hacker and join a reputed IT company.
• Samanvi B Suvarna is from Mangaluru. She completed her schooling from Sharada Vidyanikethan and PUC in Pana Pre University College. Her hobbies are Reading books, listening to music and playing games. She is a sports person and has participated in National level Basketball, State Level Swimming, State Level Throwball, State Level Handball and also in State level Shortput Competitions. Her aspiration is to join a reputed IT organization.
• Deepak S Rai is from Mangaluru. He completed his schooling from St Ann's High School, Mangaluru and PU in Dr. NSAM PU College. His hobbies are drawing, stamp collection and coin collection. He aspires to work in the Mechanical section of defence agencies of India.
• Sunanada Narayan Mukri is from Honnavar. She completed her schooling from Govt. High School Nellikerri, Kumta and PU in Govt. PU College, Nellikerri, Kumta. She is interested in drawing, listening to music and reading story books. Her aspiration is to become an IT Engineer.
• Shreesha is from Bantwal, He completed his schooling from Deva Matha English Medium School and PU in Ambika PU College, Nellikatte. He is interested in Singing and watching videos related to new technology. His aspiration is to pursue Master degree and build his career in teaching.
• Rajath M R is from Kalladka, completed his schooling and college from Shri Rama High School and College, Kalladka. His hobbies are reading books, playing cricket and Kabaddi. He is also interested in programming and artificial intelligence. His aspiration is to become a hacker and join Google.

Department of Civil Engineering
Introduction of the Mentor:
Prof. Anilkumar N S received his B.E in Civil Engineering from JNN College of Engineering, Shivamogga and M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from University of B.D.T College of Engineering, Davangere. After his graduation, he worked at K.S Polytechnic, Bengaluru as a Lecturer and after Post-graduation he continued his teaching career at Sahyadri. He has 3 years of teaching experience. He worked as an internship trainee at Karnataka Government District Bio-Fuel Information and Demonstration Center, Shivamogga for different projects such as “Studies on Environmental Issues Concerned with Extraction of Bio- Fuel” and “Treatment and Testing of Bio Diesel Washed Water” and this project is funded by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology under “Student Proposal Programme – 40th Series”. He has a few publications to his credit. His areas of interest are Water and Wastewater Engineering.
Introduction of the Mentees:
• Aqhil Abdul Aziz is from Mangaluru and he did his 10th and 12th under the National Institute of open schooling. He is interested in outdoor sports. His aspiration is to do something unique for the future generation.
• Skanda N is from Mangaluru. He did his high school in BGSEC School Mangaluru and PUC in St. Aloysius PU College Mangaluru. He secured silver medal in long jump state level, won several dance shows and was one of the contestants in “India's Got Talent”. His interest is to make his talent as his passion.
• Vishwas K is from Mangaluru. He completed his SSLC in St Ann's High School Kuntikan and 12th in Nitte Dr NSAM PU College Nanthoor Mangaluru. During his school days he has participated in district level kho kho tournament and secured runners up and he is also a kabbadi player, his team was runners up in Sahyadri inter-class tournament. The best defender award was honoured to him.
• Prathiksha Rai, is from Kerala and did her 10th from Little Lilli Senior Secondary (CBSE) English School Kerala and PUC from Sarojini Madhusudhan Kushe PU college, Attavar Mangaluru. She is interested in dancing, Listening music, traveling etc,. Her biggest aspiration in life is to be an engineer and contribute something that makes a difference in the lives of others.
• Rishikesh Suryawanshi, is from Maharashtra. He has completed his primary education in Kunil education trust Kasargod and completed his PUC in Mahesh PU College. His hobbies are drawing, photography, and listening to music. Apart from this, he loves editing photos and videos.
In outdoor games, he likes to play football. He chose civil engineering because he is very much interested in construction field and interior designing. His aspiration is to build his own construction company.
• Harshan C P, is from Kasargod. He completed his primary education and PUC education in Sharada Vidyanikethan, Talapady. His hobbies are drawing and Photography. His aspiration is to obtain a job in civil engineering field.
• Laxmikant B Pujari, is from Raibag. He completed his high school at Sri Venkatramana English medium high school Kundapura. He completed his PUC at Karkala jnana sudha PU College. His hobbies are reading novel and painting and his ambition is to work for JSW (Jindal Steel Works).
