As a part of the ACM-S 1.0 Webinar and Masterclass series, the Association for Computing Machinery, Sahyadri Chapter (ACM-S) hosted Masterclass 1 on “Data Science” on 29th June’2020. Mr. Bharani Kumar Depuru, Chief Data Scientist was the Guest Speaker.
Mr. Bharani Kumar Depuru, who is an Alumnus of ISB and IIT, comes with a vast experience working in various capacities with companies including HSBC, ITC Infotech, Infosys, Deloitte. Performing consulting for various companies on Industrial Revolution 4.0 implementation, Data Analytics practice setup, etc., are a few of the prime activities performed.
During the first half of the session, Mr. Bharani Kumar Depuru dwelt on some of the live projects he is working on as shown in https://innodatatics.com/, thereby proving that Data Science is not only related to Computer Science.
In the second half, Mr. Bharani Kumar walked the audience through different aspects to be looked into while selecting Data Science as a career. He also spotlighted the fact that certifications from Coursera, Udemy, etc., won't play a major role until we demonstrate live projects and develop the mentality to take up challenges. He shared https://360digitmg.com/mindmap-data-science as a resource for getting brief insights about data science.
