          Letter of Credit (LC) is a very common and familiar instrument in settling trade between nations. Buyers and Sellers negotiate for purchase and sale of goods, sellers demanding cash or the buyers banker’s letter of credit as guarantee for payment before they undertake shipment.
         This software is developed to help the buyer to keep the track of his L.C.’s. Using this software the buyer can understand which L.C.’s term when ends along with his available free LC Amount. It also gives him the amount to be paid or to be got back from customs as custom duty.

7Eleven is one of the largest Retail companies operating. It manufactures and distributes a wide variety of retail products. This is designed for the purpose of sales analysis that basically helps the decision makers to analyze the sales. This system helps to keep track the impact of advertising and other promotion on sales. It is also used to test the effects of pricing changes and varying media weights on local markets. It can compare today’s sales results those of previous year, as well as compare results among chains, geographic regions, and products down to the brand level.

The main objective of the project is to develop a Data mart of Sales System to help the senior and middle level management of the organization to improve the sales and get the knowledge of the new business opportunities.

Involved in Analyzing the Source System.

    • Extensively used Ascential Datastage designer to develop Jobs for extracting, transforming, loading data into data warehouse.
    • Involved in Developing ETL jobs using Data stage, supporting all facets of the ETL process such as implementing Source to target mapping
    • Created Parallel jobs using various Stages like Sequential file, Oracle Enterprise, Lookup, Join, Merge, Transformer, Modify, Funnel and Pivot etc.
    • Involved in preparing UTC’S for various jobs assigned.
    • Used Datastage Director to run and monitor the Datastage jobs.
    • Used Datastage Manager to import metadata, new job categories as well as to export and import jobs.
    • Tuned Datastage jobs to obtain better performance.

This system is mainly concerned with sales and distribution analysis of the products. Company has several branches spread all over Malaysia. Like every emerging company, this company is also searching for business enhancement and competitive edge using information technology to make better business decisions.

Client wanted to have a system that can give them intelligent reports regarding their existing business situation and how they can analyze specifically their business practices.

The main objective of the project is to help the senior and middle level management of the organization to improve the sales by having the knowledge of new business opportunities

  • Understanding the specifications provided and involved in OLTP system analysis.
  • Extracted information from flat files with related transaction details with line items such as the overall sale price, products purchased, product category, location of sale and mode of payment
  • Optimizing the job to load the data in Slowly Changing Dimensions.
  • Design the Jobs to load the data into the target based on constraint based load ordering.
  • Developed a job in getting the related values using lookups.
Worked with various stages like aggregator, Transformer. Merge Join and etc
