Also, it can be from the final years of college to the early years of one’s career. The transition from college to career needs more attention as it involves a lot of planning which should take account of the personal goals and ambitions of the young person. The objective of the planning must ensure that the person possesses the necessary skills to enable the person to cope up with the corporate culture and climate. For an individual, starting to work in an organization is a unique and critically important phase that requires a special perspective and strategy to be successful as a fresher. Preparing oneself to bridge the gap between the college and corporate smoothly, requires a lot of effort. As a new graduate enters the work arena he is exposed to many career choices. Possessing better soft skills, the required technical skills, effective communication skills, and a winning resume will help to face the interview with courage and confidence. Making the first impression as an effective contributor will make the process of transition easier. We must also know well about the company and also it is important to learn business Jargons.
He also quoted that “I Hire for the Best Attitude and then Train for the Skills in Cisco”. Dr. Manjappa Sarathi, Director R&D and President of Sahyadri IIC, has conveyed his best wishes towards the entire early exposure program and also advised all the stakeholders to make the best use of it and benefit from the activities that are conducted under the IIC.
