With large number of customers under lockdown facing financial crisis, contemporary issues faced by Brands need to be addressed. MBA faculty members attended a webinar on “Branding in Post-COVID World: Challenges & Opportunities”, on 29th April, 2020. It was a one-hour session with an engaging conversation between Brand Guru, Mr. Harish Bijoor and Prof. Pravin Mishra, Dean, Vijaybhoomi School of Design, Vijaybhoomi University.

• The economy can be broadly classified as Functional Economy and Celebratory Economy based on the necessities of the commodities, wherein the Celebratory Economy is worst hit during the pandemic, however will revive after 18 months
• Every business should first understand the sectoral impact of COVID-19 as needs & wants sector would take 3 months to be back on its feet, however desire and aspiration sector will be affected for around 8 months
• Cab aggregator business to lose 70% of its revenue for the first 3 months and would take 14-15 months roughly to be back at 100% • If any business is doing well during the Pandemic is that business which comes into your home
• Digitalism is a new religion of this generation, and is the best way to do business as it is booming even during the Pandemic • Adopting to be physical and part digital is a good way to go for education sector
