MBA Marketing Students undergo Value Added Course on Marketing Analytics

A Value Added Course on Marketing Analytics began for Second year Marketing Students of Dept. of Business Administration-MBA. The sessions are delivered through Knowledge Varsity, Bengaluru.
Dr. Lalith Achoth, Former HOD of Dairy Management, University of Agricultural Sciences, Hebbal introduced the students to the concept of Regression. He started with the basics of Regression and the prominence it has in today's market. Further, Simple Linear equations and Multiple linear equations were explained. Next, the four types of relationship such as linear function, Power or double function, exponential function and quadratic functions were explained with the help of a line graph and formulas. Later, he introduced the participants to the word called Estimator which is nothing but the ordinary least squares. Additionally, he explained different tests that have to be conducted to check the validity of the assumptions. He conducted various demo on an excel sheet using the real data on COVID19 and explained how to analyse the data to the students.
Dr. Lalith Achoth is a consultant in reputed management schools, government agencies and premier research institutes across the country. He has done over 2000 projects on data analytics. He also conducts online computer-based training program and has academic and research experience in the Indian stock market. He also has a wide experience in the application of state-of-the-art forecasting techniques for business, policies, academic and research for commodities, food production, etc. He has written around 135 publications on various topics. He has also accomplished in the applications of statistical and operations research techniques in research and data analysis using software like SAS, R, SPSS, SHAZAM, LIMDEP, LINGO, and MS. Excel.
