AICTE-ISTE National Refresher Programme Phase-2 organized by Dept. of Mechanical Engineering

Day One (6th Apr’2021):
The second session of AICTE-ISTE sponsored Online Refresher program – Phase 2 (6th to 12th April’2021) on “Cooperative and Collaborative Teaching Learning Processes” was engaged by Dr. Vijaya Kumari S N, Associate Professor of Education, PG Studies and Research in Education, St. Ann’s College of Education, Mangaluru. She is a Doctorate in Education from SNDT Women’s University Mumbai and has been awarded the Jamunabhai Gobindji Madhabji award for her Ph.D study. She facilitated a session on “Cooperative and Collaborative Learning: Constructivist Pedagogies to develop 21st Century Skills”.
Third session was engaged by Dr. Janardhanan Gangathulasi, Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Head of Centre for International Affairs and Centre for Curriculum Development, Planning and Coordination at the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chennai. Dr. Janardhanan has over 18 years of research, teaching and consulting experience within the broad fields of civil, environmental engineering and engineering education. He facilitated the session on “Technology enabled teaching learning: NEP 2020 Perspective”. He mentioned that Technology-enabled learning aims to focus on increasing access to quality teaching and learning by supporting policy formulation and innovation in the application of ICT in education, and the development of ICT skills.
Fourth session was engaged by Dr. Ravichandra K R, Professor and Head of Dept. of Mechanical Engineering at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. He is also handling additional responsibility as Dean- Industry Connect and Head of Autonomous Working Committee. The session he engaged was on “Simulation tools for interactive assignments”. In his presentation, he brought out the difference between Traditional Method of Education & Outcome Based Education, Student Centric Education, and Competency in Graduates of Higher Education & Bloom's Taxonomy.
