ISE Department organizes a Webinar on “Cyclic codes, Checksum & Career in Data Communication”

Dept. of Information Science & Engineering in association with IEEE Student Branch - SCEM, STAISE and SAHYADRI-IIC organized a Webinar on “Cyclic codes, Checksum & Career in Data Communication”. The resource person for the event was Dr. Pavan Kumar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE Indian Institute of Information Technology Dharwad. Dr. Pavan Kumar spoke about the fundamental concepts of Cyclic codes and Checksum. He explained about Error Detection, Error Correction and decoding schemes. He illustrated about Cryptosystem and Authentication Protocol based on Coding theory. Around eighty students participated in the webinar.
