IQAC conducts workshop on “Applying Blooms Taxonomy in Teaching-Learning Process” for Faculty

On 12th Oct’2021, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) had organized a half-day workshop on “Applying Blooms Taxonomy in Teaching-Learning Process” for the faculty members handling first-year courses and newly joined faculty members. The Resource Person – Dr. Ravichandra K R, Associate Professor and HoD, Mechanical Engineering delivered the session. He mentioned the importance of Bloom's Taxonomy in the attainment of Graduate Attributes. During the session, he asked the faculty members to make the students understand the importance of the Graduate Attributes and Bloom's assessment criteria of Cognitive, Affective and Psychomotor domains at first. He gave real-world examples pertaining to the Graduate attributes and their assessments. He mentioned the importance of assessing the Affective and Psychomotor domains of the graduates to improve their employability skills. He also asked the faculty members to design the course curriculum and assessment method under autonomy in such a way that all the three domains are assessed effectively. The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Shamanth Rai, Coordinator (IQAC) and Prof. Vasudeva Rao P V, Dy-Coordinator (IQAC).
