Bridge Course for New Entrants Commences in the Campus

The three-week bridge course for the new entrants to engineering commenced with the personality development sessions by the resource person Mr. Chethan Ram.

Mr. Chethan Ram explained what personality is and its dimensions with some examples. He spoke about the journey towards one’s success and difference between dream and goal. He also stressed upon how to raise personality from one level to other. He threw light upon the importance and differences of vision and mission statements. He showed different ways of enhancing knowledge and core competency. In the post lunch session, he discussed the important qualities of a person to be No.1 in life. He conducted different activities and involved the audience to give the essence of the concepts.

Mr. Chethan Ram R. A. is Founder & Managing Director, Academy of Management & Corporate Attitude Development (AMCAD) an Institution for Human Potential Development.

He is an Excel Graduate, an International Certification for Training from JCI University, USA. With 25+ years of experience in Personality Development, he has conducted hundreds of training programs all over the country, for all categories of people. Author of several books, audio tapes and CDs on Personality Development, Mr. Chethan Ram is also a Trainer for competitive exams like KAS, IAS, CAT, MAT, and KPSC & UPSC.

The second day of the Bridge Course on Personality Development for the new entrants began with Mr. Chethan Ram the resource person speaking on the topic “Student No.1". He spoke in detail about the problems that students face during their academic career such as lack of concentration, slow reading, different sorts of attractions and distractions, feeling sleepy during studies, etc.

He suggested different rules to enhance concentration. He spoke about the importance of Time Management and put forth the methods to manage time. He motivated the students to set goals and take steps towards achieving them. He gave tips to study effectively and build a network. Mr. Chethan Ram threw light upon the two important topics; Change Management and Team Management and explained its necessity in today’s’ era.

In the post lunch session he spoke about power of motivation and requirement of attitudinal change in one’s life to become successful. He showed many inspirational videos and conducted many interesting activities to make students understand these concepts.  

Bridge Course Concludes

  The eighteen-day bridge course for the new entrants to the first year Engineering came to an end. The final session was engaged by Mr. Adithya Puthraya, Founder, V4 Wild Life. He delivered a talk on conservation of the wild life and answered many questions about them and also spoke about the science behind belief. ‘Manthana’ Our walk towards change, organized ‘Green Exchange’ programme for the students where students exchanged the plants that they had brought with each other and took oath on saving the environment. Dr. U. M. Bhushi, Principal and Dr. Umashanker B. S., Dean-Academic took part in the programme.
