Students of Udgam house visited IIT Roorkee Solar Project

Twenty three students of first year engineering house Udgam visited Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR).
These students are working on a project to make Sahyadri Campus eco-friendly mainly using solar energy. During this process, they got an opportunity to visit IIT Roorkee that has Solar panels on all its buildings, solar water heaters for hostels and solar cookers in canteen and mess. They interacted with the faculty and staff who manage the solar project.
Project and the students are being mentored by Basavarajeshwari Ambi from fourth semester Dept of Information Science & Engineering.
