Sahyadri NSS Unit Concludes its Seven-Day Special Camp at Kumpala

Sahyadri College NSS Unit successfully concludes its Seven-Day NSS Special Camp at Dakshina Kannada District Zilla Panchayat Government Higher Primary and High School, Kumpala. The major project of renovating the school by painting was completed as per the schedule and the students with their untiring & selfless service gave a new look to the institute. Dr. R Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal; Prof. S S Balakrishna, Vice-Principal; Trustee of Bhandary Foundation Mr. Devdas Hegde were the Guests for Valedictory Ceremony along with Mr. Narayana Kampala, Founding President, Kesari Mithra Vrinda; Mr. Ramesh, President, PTA Association; Mr. Yadav, Member, School Development committee; Mr. Shiva Prasad, Paint Work Contractor and Ms. Nagaveni, Headmistress of DK District Zilla Panchayat Government Higher Primary and High School. The community and the school authorities appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated on the success of the School Painting Project.
The Valedictory programme was followed by the NSS tradition of Shibira Jyothi after which the local school students gave a wonderful cultural programme. On the next day, the NSS volunteers went on an Educational Visit to the Pilikula Planetarium and Science Centre, thus concluding the Seven-Day NSS Special Camp. Ms. Shreelatha U A, NSS Programme Coordinator; Mr. Navin Pilar, Head of Dept. of Art and Culture and Mr. Ankith S Kumar, Student Counsellor organized and coordinated the Camp.
