Live Musical Concert “Sangeetha Sanjhe” by the legendary multilingual singer Dr. S P Balasubrahmanyam was held at the Sahyadri River-Side Ground on 19th Jan’2020. This event was organized by Swami Enterprises as a fundraiser for Karnataka Flood Relief.

Ms. Prasanna Bhandary, Secretary, Bhandary Foundation was the Chief Guest of the Inaugural function. Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman, Bhandary Foundation was felicitated during the concluding ceremony.

On this occasion a great crowd thronged the River Side Ground to witness the mesmerizing performance of Dr. S P Balasubrahmanyam and his team. The Music Icon enthralled the audience with some of his evergreen songs.

The crowd became completely oblivious of the surroundings as they engaged themselves in toe-tapping to the rhythm of the ebullient songs that filled the cool evening air.

Dr. S.P. Balasubrahmanyam is a playback singer, music director and much more. He has garnered six National Film Awards for his works in four different languages apart from numerous other state awards.

Dr. S.P. Balasubrahmanyam seems to sing, even when he talks! Whatever be the song or the language, being an Indian, there’s no way one wouldn’t have heard Dr. S.P. Balasubrahmanyam sing, because he’s sung more than 40,000 songs!

Despite a fabulous musical career spanning over 4 decades, SPB remains down to earth. “But my goal was not to become a singer at all. It was an accident. I used to sing quite well, yes, I agree. But my goal was to become an engineer; never a filmi guy,” he insists.

Dr. SPB is honoured with the Guinness World Record for singing the most film songs. He is a recipient of Civilian Awards such as Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan from the Government of India.
