Sahyadri Dreamers Makerspace manufactures Face Shields for Doctors and all those fighting against CoViD -19 in the frontline

Sahyadri has always been a contributor to the society especially when in such crisis situations. As the world is tormented by the deadly CoronaVirus and many are fighting in the frontline against the virus like - the doctors, police, healthcare workers, sanitation workers and others who work tirelessly to defeat this pandemic. They are at high risk of getting infected themselves. Therefore, to protect these brave warriors, Sahyadri Dreamers Makerspace with the support of Sahyadri DTLabz has designed and manufactured custom-made face shields which will help the Corona warriors protect themselves from getting infected.
More than 900 face shields have been distributed as of now and many more are still in production. These masks are provided to the warriors for free so that they do not face any lack of protective gears. The masks are supplied to Father Muller Hospital Kankanady, District Wenlock Hospital CoVID-19 Detection Centre, Primary Health Centre, Unity Hospital, Alva’s Hospital, Moodbidri; Moodbidri Govt. Hospital; Commissionerate of Police, Mangaluru; Beedi Workers Welfare Fund Dispensary and Department of Labour Welfare, Ministry of Labor Welfare, Padil, Mangaluru.
The aim is to provide face shields to all the frontline warriors at the earliest possible. Sahyadri applauds the efforts of all the students and their mentors who are working behind the scenes to help in making this noble work possible and also a heartfelt thanks to all the generous donors.
