Day-2 of Global FDP on “Research in Social Science & Management Studies” organized by MBA Dept.

Dept. of Business Administration-MBA in its on-going Global Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Research in Social Science & Management Studies”, conducted two sessions on Day-2 i.e. 24th Aug’2020.
The first Session was on literature selection and writing. Dr. Sunil M.V., Librarian-SDM Institute of Management Development, an expertise in Open Source Software, gave an overview of types of literature review by describing each type briefly with examples. He later explained how software can be used in literature review. With the help of an Open Source Software, Zotero, he demonstrated how literature review is written and how reference for the same be generated.
Second Session of the day was facilitated by Dr. T. Mallikarjunappa, Professor, Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod. He delivered a session on Research Design. His mantra of Research Design was “Before beginning your Paper, you need to decide how you plan to design the study”. He explained in detail each type of research designs by giving examples of each. He later explained that selection of research design is based on the objectives and hypotheses a researcher formulates.
