One-day Workshop Series on ISRO Satellite Remote Sensing Based Societal
Applications on Web was conducted by Professor C. J. Jagadeesha,
Scientist, ISRO- NRSC- RRSC, Bangalore.
The workshop was mainly based on the areas where remote sensing is
widely used. Prof. Jagadeesha explained in depth the concept of remote
sensing. He emphasized on using remote sensing technologies in order to
find out the origin of a particular problem and also added that it can
help to overcome a majority of problems that are being faced by the
farmers. He also introduced the concept of water irrigation.
