Workshop on “Storytelling & Effective Communication” for the students of Young Leadership Program (YLP) organized by NAIN and SHINE Foundation

Storytelling is a powerful and effective tool for leaders to communicate, inspire and educate the people they are leading. On this account, Mr. Johnson Tellis, CEO of Technical Career Education addressed a group of aspiring leaders of the Young Leadership Program about “Storytelling and Effective communication” on 16th February, 2021.
Mr. Johnson Tellis, spoke on how to harness the power of storytelling, ways to effectively use storytelling in order to motivate and communicate as young leaders. He also shared numerous tips and templates for creating stories that resonate, influence and create an impact on the audience.
Further, the students were acquainted with the necessity of prioritization and were introduced to priority matrix in order to create a monthly prioritization matrix with the tasks that required to be accomplished, deferred, delegated and deleted in order to be more productive in the future. It was not just an interactive session but it paved ways for the young leaders to have a better perspective on their goals and how to work towards achieving it.
The Young Leadership Program is an ambitious program at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, which brings together a group of passionate, young engineers who aspire to build creative solutions for the problems that hinder the development of a community. The program encompasses workshops for capability development, by building a mindset that paves way for empathy, problem-solving, and creative thinking intertwined with a well-defined purpose that enables aspiring engineers to build technical solutions that can create a positive impact. It is an initiative that nurtures the leaders for tomorrow, who are determined to satisfy the Sustainable Development Goals derived by global organizations such as the United Nations to serve the planet and its creations.
