CSE Faculty delivered a session in a Five-Day Online FDP on Semantic Web

Dr. Shreyas Rao, Associate Prof., Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering delivered a session in a Five-Day Online FDP on "Semantic Web" conducted by the Dept. of ISE at RVITM, Bengaluru. A total of 80 faculty participated in the FDP programme from various Universities and Institutions across India.
The following topics were covered during the session:
• Overview of the Semantic Web domain
• Evolution of the Web
• Structure of the Semantic Web
• Linked data and LOD Cloud 2020
• LOD principles, Ontologies and Triplestores
• Technologies for publishing and interlinking LOD data
• Showcased practical applications in Semantic Web such as Semantic Scholar and DBPedia
• Project and research opportunities for UG, PG, and PHD students in Semantic Web area
