Day Two (7th Apr’2021):
The first session was engaged by Prof. Ramani Venkat. Prof. Venkat holds a vast experience in the field of IT Sales. He is a Sales Strategist Consultant & NLP Coach and has mentored 7 Start-ups. Prof. Venkat gave a presentation on the topic Gamification of Collaborative learning. During his presentation, he highlighted the importance of gamification and strategy in collaborative learning.
Second session was engaged by Dr. Kalpana Ranganath Kharade, a former elementary school teacher with teaching experience in urban BMC and private schools. Dr. Kalpana Kharade has scaled great heights professionally due to sheer determination and persistence. Her 100% vision impairment has never come in her way to achieve her well-deserved place in the academic community. She is presently an adjunct Associate Professor, a recognized PhD guide in Mumbai and Somaiya Vidyavihar University and visiting faculty at HBCSE. The topic of her presentation was – ‘Facilitating learning through PBL approach’. During her presentation, she mentioned the importance of Problem-Based Learning, Learning Approach, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills.
Third session was engaged by Dr. Rathishchandra R. Gatti, Professor, Head of Projects and Funding, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. The topic of the resource person was – ‘Collaborative tools for student-faculty research teams’. In his presentation, he highlighted the student faculty collaborative research culture, research standards, and usage of collaborative information search tools and collaborative information storage tools.
Fourth session was engaged by Prof. Rajesha S. He holds a Doctoral degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) and currently working as Principal at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. In his presentation, he stressed on the Importance of Laboratory Experiments, Basic Principles of Learning, and important factors to inculcate during laboratory to understand the concept and Need of Design Experiments.
