Day Four (28th June 2021)

Dr. Pratima Khandelwal, Lead Facilitator – Pedagogy for HEIs & Soft Skills Trainer – NPTEL (IIT Madras) on the topic - “Flip Method of Teaching”

Dr. Pratima Khandelwal holds a Ph.D in Food Technology and Process & Food Engineering. She has contributed in FDPs organized by Infosys Campus Connect-InfyTQ, BITS Pilani, and Biocon Academy. She has been a lead speaker for AICTE-ATAL & ISTE based FDPs in states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Dr. Pratima Khandelwal emphasized on the Application of Blooms Taxonomy and also shared the various ways through which Flipped Classroom can be conducted. She introduced the participants to Jamboard, Padlet.com and Menti.com. In her concluding remarks she mentioned that the combination of Flipped Teaching and Active Learning would result in Amazing Educational Possibilities.

Dr. Rajesha S, Principal, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru on the topic - “Interactive/Participative Learning”

Dr. Rajesha S is a B.E., M.Tech and PhD with area of specialization in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering. After joining Sahyadri in the year 2018, he sphere headed the team to achieve NBA accreditation.
Dr. Rajesha encouraged the participants to interact and express their opinion on the challenges of current education system. He also added a note on accountability and documentation, that how it pressurises the academician. He suggested to have own teaching skill, which will definitely add on to the personality of a teacher.
“New Education Policy, 2020: Highlights of Higher Education”

Dr. Gowrisha, Deputy Director, CESS-Bengaluru on the topic - “New Education Policy (NEP)”

Dr. Gowrisha was a Chief Consultant in Technical Secretariat of Committee for Draft Educational Policy constituted by MHRD, Government of India, 2017. He has given more than 35 Lectures on New Educational Policy at National level Seminars, Conferences and Webinars.
He gave a glimpse of New Education Policy related to Higher Education in the country. He also discussed about the future, significant transformative and structural changes among Higher Educational Institutions to become Multidisciplinary Institutions for offering the student-community with holistic and multidisciplinary education.

Mr. Renjit Ravi Keshav, CEO of iSkew Learning on the topic - “Creative Pedagogy/Crossover Learning”

Mr. Renjit Ravi Keshav has done PGDHRM from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune. He also holds academic certifications in Faculty Development for Management Education from IIM, Calicut. He won the National Award for Leadership in Education –2017 from 24MRC, NewDelhi.
Mr. Renjit emphasized on being a Great Teacher Vs. Best Teacher as well as Andragogy over Pedagogy. The concept of Genius hour introduced by Mr. Renjit opened up a new Avenue for learning. He urged faculty to design creative pedagogy as the students are from various backgrounds and their learning style differs from one another.
