Sahyadrians attend the “Young Entrepreneurs Meet'' of InUnity Mangaluru

Sahyadri Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Foundation (SHINE) and Technical Career Education Pvt. Ltd. hosted the “Young Entrepreneurship Meet” of InUnity, in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) and Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) on the 15th Sep, 2021 at Hotel Ocean Pearl, Mangaluru. The programme saw the presence of 51 students shortlisted for the Entrepreneurship Mindset program (EMP) in InUnity, of which 24 students were from Sahyadri.
The event witnessed the participation of Chairman CII Karnataka and Managing Director of 3M India Limited Mr. Ramesh Ramadurai; Chairman CII Mangalore District Mr. Jeevan Saldahna; Past Chairman CII Mangalore District Mr. Prakash Kalbavi; Convenor Industry-Academia Panel CII Mangalore District Mr. Vishal Hegde; GAME Ecosystem Engagement Vice President Ms. Kanchana K V; SHINE Foundation Director Mr. Johnson Tellis and Technical Career Education Chief Operating Officer Mr. Gautham Nayak who gave an overview of the program and extended support through their respective organizations to ensure the selected students get the best of resources to build solutions. The students were addressed by the guests and were congratulated on making it to the stage 2 of the InUnity Program, followed by an activity to break the ice between the newly selected students.
InUnity Mangaluru is a 6-month bi-annual event that emphasizes on nurturing youth with an entrepreneurial spirit to build community-centric solutions under the guidance of industry mentors. The program serves as a catalyst, enhancing the interaction between educational institutions, industry associations, and community stakeholders to develop effective solutions for the community. In the upcoming days, these EMP Fellows will work with stakeholders from various sectors like health care, education, fisheries, agriculture and environment and be coached by industry experts to create minimal viable products (MVP). In the month of January 2022, these teams will pitch their MVP to investors, startup leaders, incubators, and venture capitalists who will fund/support the conversion of these ideas into products, allowing students to launch their own businesses.
