Prof. Akshaya Kumari Shetty, Dept. of Humanities, presented a paper on “National Consciousness in Post Modernism” organized by Akhila Bharathiya Saahitya Parishath at University College, Mangaluru.
The seminar was held on the theme of ‘National consciousness or oneness as an expression at different eras of literature’. Prof. Akshaya Shetty discussed about Post-Modernism and raptured mentality, loneliness were the philosophical thoughts of that period which was reflected in post-modernism literature. Dr. Vasanth Kumaar Perla, President of Akhila Bharatiya Saahitya Parishath, in his Presidential speech, discussed about current mentality of individuals, i.e. thinking of self, more than about Nation.
Prof. Akshaya Shetty also presented her paper on “Anthropological Background in Diety Worship” recently in Kannada Vijnana Sammelana held at Mangala Gangothri, Mangalore University organized by Svadeshi Vijnaana Andolana, Karnataka.
