ISE Dept. organized a Virtual Technical Talk on 'Importance of Data Structures in Data Science'

Dept. of Information Science & Engineering in association with IEEE Student Branch-SCEM, STAISE, IEI and SAHYADRI-IIC organized a Virtual Technical Talk on 'Importance of Data Structures in Data Science' on 11th April, 2022, coordinated by faculty members - Prof. Akhila Thejaswi R and Prof. Harinakshi C. The resource person for the event was Mr. Sharath Kumar A, Principal Data Scientist, Msys Technologies, Bengaluru.
He enlightened the students about the importance of data structures for every programmer. He also gave insights on why data scientists should learn Data Structures.

Dr Prabhu participates in Namma Kudla Business Tonic

Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and Principal Investigator at the Digital Forensics and Cyber Security Centre was invited to be the resource person in the popular TV Program on Namma Kudla Business tonic. The one and half hour live interaction was hosted by eminent CA and educationist, CA MN Pai; Assistant General Manager of Karnataka Bank, Mr. Vinay Kulkarni was the other guest. Dr. Prabhu spoke about how UPI has become the game changer in the business world and also the precautions to be taken from the cyber-attacks. He also mentioned about AEPS, UPI 2.0, UPI 123, UPI Lite and other features. He further spoke about cardless money, modus operandi of Cyber criminals and how to report UPI Frauds.
Business Tonic is the brainchild of eminent CA and past chairman of Mangalore chapter of ICAI, CA S S Nayak.
