Faculty received prestigious Paniyaadi Award for Tulu novel

Paniyadi Prof. Akshaya Shetty, Dept. of Humanities, received prestigious PANIYAADI AWARD - 2021 for her Tulu novel 'Denga' organised by Tulukuta, Udupi.
The award is given in the name of S. U. Paniyaadi, who was a freedom fighter and famous writer in Tulu Language. Professor Akshaya Shetty received 27th Paniyaadi award by the well-known Folklore Scholar Shri. K. L. Kundanthaaya in a grand Award ceremony organized by Udupi Tulukoota at Udupi Kidiyoor Hotel, Udupi.
In the same function the award winning book, 'Denga' was released by Gurme Suresh Shetty. Shri Jayakara Shetty, Indrali was a President of the award Ceremony.
'Denga' speaks about South Canara Culture along with behavioural Science of folks. It discusses about the cultural shift of this region from past three decades.

Tomorrow at Sahyadri

Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and Research Development Cell, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru in association with Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre (VTPC) and Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology (KSCST) is organizing World IP Day with One-day Dual mode workshop on "Patent filing, Trademark & Industrial Design, Geographical Indications" on 26th April 2022. Faculty members, Researchers, students and Industry personnel can attend the workshop.
