Research Scholar of Director-MBA defends the Doctoral Thesis in the VTU Final Viva Voce Examination

Under the guidance of Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director-MBA Program, Research Scholar Mr. Mithun Ullal, defended his Doctoral thesis - 'Challenges in implementation of Right to education in the case of Dakshina Kannada District' in the Final viva voce examination conducted by VTU Belagavi on 25th Apr, 2022 in the presence of the External Examiner Dr. Magesh, Professor and Head, Dept. of Management Studies, College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai; Dr. Rajesha S, Principal of Sahyadri and Dr. Ananthapadmanabha Achar, Chief Executive Officer, AIC Nitte, Karkala.
On presentation of the thesis and on successfully defending the Viva voce, Mr. Mithun Ullal has been recommended for the final award of the Doctoral Degree in Business Administration by the panel.

IEEE Student Branch-Sahyadri secures Third Place in IEEE MSS Annual Awards 2021

The IEEE Student Branch of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, won the third place in the IEEE Mangaluru Subsection Annual Awards for the year 2021. Sahyadri ranked third among the eighteen colleges of Mangaluru, Udupi and Shivamogga region. The award was given for the outstanding student activities, socio-technical events and the number of active IEEE members.
The award ceremony was held at NMAMIT, Nitte and the honours was done by IEEE-MSS Chair, Dr. Poornalatha G.

Alumna from Batch 2016-18 Interacts with MBA students

Ms. Pooja M N of Sahyadri MBA Batch 2016-18, currently working as Human Resources Officer at Toyota Industries Engine India Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, visited Sahyadri and interacted with first year MBA students on 26th Apr, 2022.
During her interaction she spoke about how she started her career at Toyota as a contractual employee on third party payroll. She said her perseverance and positive attitude towards work helped in getting into a full time HR role with Toyota Industries Engine India Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru.
She urged the students to add on new skills during the first few years of their job to build a strong foundation to a long career ladder. She also briefed as to how her participation in extracurricular activities both during college days and initial days at work helped to build a strong network which is a key to her success.
