Placement and Training: Recruited by Robosoft Technologies India Pvt Ltd

Robosoft Niveditha Naik from the Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engg. and Sumanth Prabhu from the Dept. of Information Science & Engineering have been recruited by Robosoft Technologies India Pvt Ltd. for the position of Trainee Software Engineer. The package offered is INR 4.5 LPA.

On Day Five, Team Leader of Dream Kits - Mr. Aashish handled the session. Students had hands-on experience on logical programming with a Dream Kit. They learnt more of programming logic using comparators, variables, complex conditional statements. They had challenge based hands-on learning to understand these concepts.
Post lunch, Team Flotanomers took over the session on Drone forensic - how the crimes happen and solved using drones. Students got to know about structural design involved in drones and also the electronics components used in drones. Students started their model designing using foams. They will be preparing a plane model in the next session.

Dept. of Business Administration (MBA) has organized a 7-Day Value Added Course on 'Data Analytics through MS Excel and Power BI' for the MBA students during 25th to 31st July, 2022. The course was facilitated by Experts from Noble Analytica, Bengaluru under the supervision of Prof. Kavitha Agastheeswara Moorthy, Data Scientist; Prof. Roopa V, Data Scientist and Mr. Nirmal, Data Scientist, Noble Analytica. The course covered areas related to - Introduction to Business Analytics and Advanced MS Excel, Business Statistics Methods, Laboratory Training on Business Analytics using MS Excel, Business Intelligence and Visualization using Power Business Intelligence.

Sahyadri IIC and the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering has jointly conducted an online Workshop on 'Innovation/Prototype Validation - Converting Innovation into a Start-up' or Session on 'Achieving Value Proposition Fit & Business Fit' as a part of the IIC Q4 Activity on 30th July'2022. The Resource Person of the workshop was Mr. Senthil Kumar, Founder of Geomeo and Jivio.
Ananya P Rao, Sahyadri IIC, Students Coordinator, Welcomed the guests - Dr. Manjappa S, President, Sahyadri IIC and Director-R&D and Consultancy; Dr. Rajesha S, Principal; Resource Person - Mr. Senthil Kumar; Dr. Anush Bekal, Vice President, Sahyadri IIC and Head-Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering; Dr. Pushpalatha K, Head-Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering; Prof. G B Janardhana Swamy, Sahyadri IIC Convenor, Heads of all other Departments, Department SPOCs of IIC and faculty and students.

While addressing the gathering, Dr. Manjappa S briefed about the activities, innovative practices and programs conducted by Sahyadri and IIC. The Resource person in his session, spoke about Business Model, prototyping and validation, quoting the e-commerce organizations. He also spoke about the process of setting up business value for the innovation/product.
During the next part of the session, the speaker highlighted his own product - 'Save Mom' which partners with Hospitals, NGOs, and Government institutions to bring in a digital healthcare ecosystem to make pregnancy a joyful experience - 'Healthy Mom, Healthy Baby'. The session was attended by 180 plus students and 30 plus faculty and representatives from 2 in-house start-ups.
