Gagan_Shetty_K Prof. Gagan Shetty K, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, published a research paper in the Scopus Indexed International Journal Welding in the World ‑ Springer (Q1 Journal) titled ‑ "High-temperature oxidation behavior of plasma-sprayed NiCrAlY/TiO2 and NiCrAlY/Cr2O3/YSZ coatings on titanium alloy"
Paper focuses on the Cyclic oxidation studies on uncoated and coated alloys at 700 ºC under a static air environment. The kinetics of oxidation is studied by using the thermo-gravimetric method. Phase, microstructural, and chemical analysis tests are performed on as-sprayed and oxidized coatings. The study suggests coated alloys to be more resistant when compared to the uncoated alloys.
