Sahyadri Boys Team emerged as Champions in VTU Inter-Collegiate Single Zone Best Physique Competition and fourth place in Weight Lifting Competition held at Jyothy Institute of Technology, Bengaluru on 22nd Feb, 2022. The Gold Medalists will be representing VTU in the All India Inter-University Weight Lifting and Best Physique Competition to be held in Chandigarh next month.

Ranjith Singh and G Nandan Rao from the Dept. of Electronics & Communications Engineering and Suhas Venkat from the Dept. of Civil Engineering have been selected by BYJU's in a recently conducted virtual campus recruitment drive for the position of Business Development Trainee. The CTC offered is INR 10 LPA.

Mr. Prabhakar Shetty, Global Head of Manufacturing Services at L&T Technology Services Ltd addressed the first year MBAs on 23rd Feb, 2022 on "Ind4.0 new avenues to Explore". He has done his Engineering in Electronics & Communications and an MBA from IIM, Calcutta.
In order to prepare the students for their role as Management professionals, he urged them to be a part of the discussions on Business Planning and Strategic Planning and also sit through the Annual meetings in order to broaden the horizons in understanding operations. He was of the opinion that one should follow bottom-up approach and identify the problems first and then look at solving it and not top-down approach by showcasing the solution and looking out for the problem that can be solved through it.

Mathribhasha Diwas
On behalf of International Mother Tongue Day, Mathribhasha Diwas was held at Sahyadri in Netravathi Auditorium on Monday, 21st Feb, 2022. Dr. Rajesha S, Principal and Dr. Joylin, Dean-Associate Student Welfare Program in-charge were the Chief Guests of the programme organized by the Language Department in collaboration with NSS Unit of Sahyadri.
The show started with an inviting dance and afterward went on with the occasions of 19th Feb, 2022. The students were excited by the last round of debated discussion, and had the option to catch the pith of the serious air. This was trailed by dance competition, and eventually a theatrical presentation, with five groups acting in different dialects and tongues, which impeccably portrayed the soul of Mathribhasha Diwas.
Mr. Vishesh H hosted the programme. Prof. Akshaya Shetty, Prof. Susanna D'Silva and Prof. Soumyashree from the Language Department coordinated the event.
Dr. Prabhu addresses the officers at the Bihar Police Week
Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and Principal Investigator at the Digital Forensics and Cyber Security Centre was invited by the Bihar Police to address their officers at the Bihar Police Week 2022 organized at Patna.
Dr. Prabhu delivered a lecture on Financial Cyber Crimes, stressing upon cryptocurrencies and ATM related frauds. ADGP Raveendran, ADGP Nayyar Hasnain, ADGP Nirmal Azad ji and ADGP Amit Kumar moderated the session. The 2-hour interaction was attended by 200+ officers of various cadres in the auditorium and live streamed for the rest of the officers to participate.
