Students from Sahyadri NSS Unit attended the Workshop on ‘Awakening Youth–Personality Development’ organized by Indian Red Cross Society, DK District, in association with Youth Red Cross, Mangalore University on 12th Jan, 2022 at Vruksha Udyanavana, Tannirbhavi, Mangaluru. This event was organized as a part of the 159th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Swami Vivekananda.

MBA Alumni interact with MBAs

14th Jan, 2022 saw Alumni from 2 different batches of Sahyadri MBA Department visit the Faculty and also interact with the current final year MBA students.
Mr. Rachan Shetty, Global Talent Acquisition Specialist, Nokia, Bengaluru (MBA Batch 2014-16), spoke about his journey from being a student to now handling one of the most exciting roles at Nokia. He mentioned how Sahyadri contributed to his success and urged the students to be active on LinkedIN and utilize this portal to the best of their ability in branding self by highlighting their achievements. He also stimulated the students to connect to HR Heads on this portal and send resumes to them directly on seeing any vacant position that best suits their profile.
Mr. Akash Rai, Founder of Travas India (MBA Batch 2014-16), welcomed the students to take up internship opportunities in their firm. He also stimulated them to take up any roles whether small or big at the beginning of their career. Learning becomes the key during the first few years and then they can either continue their job or pursue entrepreneurship as their career.
Chaithra Bhat, Technical Recruiter, Tek Systems, Bengaluru (MBA Batch 2019-2021), spoke on the power of social media and its usage in terms of cracking interview schedules for high yielding jobs. She shared her job workflow on sourcing and recruiting for vacant positions and built confidence in the students in taking up Recruiters profile to begin with.
Kishan Kumar, Training Coordinator, Talent Edge, Bengaluru (MBA Batch 2019-2021) shared the personal challenge he faced since childhood on stammering and how he is coping up and overcame this challenge very recently. The anecdotes related to his life very truly inspiring for many students who are facing such confidence issues. He expressed how confident he feels now handling one of the biggest clients - PEPSICO at his workplace.
