Manjunath Bhandary takes oath as the Member of Karnataka Legislative Council

Chairman, Bhandary Foundation – Mr. Manjunath Bhandary took oath as the Member of the Karnataka Legislative Council on 6th Jan, 2022 at the Vidhana Soudha. Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti administered the oath of office to Mr. Manjunath Bhandary in the presence of the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

First Academic Council Meeting of Sahyadri, an Autonomous Institution

The first Academic Council Meeting of Sahyadri was held on Wednesday, 5th Jan’2022 through blended mode. The meeting was convened to present and discuss the Academic Rules and Regulations for the Autonomous batch and seek approval.
Dr. Rajesha S, Principal and Chairperson of Academic Council gave the Opening Remarks followed by the presentation on Academic Regulations shared by Dr. Shamantha Rai, Head-Dept. of Information Science & Engineering and the Member Secretary.

Bridge Course: MBA Academic Year 2021-22

Day Four (7th Jan, 2022)

The first session of day four was facilitated by Mr. Prajwal Karkera, an alumnus of MBA 2015-17 batch. He is currently working as a Trainer for Xiaomi, Mangaluru. He shared his life journey speaking on his work experience and emphasized that students must be self-motivated and self-confident to achieve anything in life. He also conducted an activity on ‘Building a creative story’. He even conducted an activity on video marketing and advertising a product which enhanced students’ critical thinking ability.
The second session was facilitated by the in-house faculty - Prof. Sagar Attavar. He threw light on Motivation by giving various examples bringing out the essence of ‘Habits of highly effective people’ by Dr. Stephen B. Convey. He played a video on Jamaica 2012 Olympics trails and related the video to self-motivation indicating that students should inculcate self-motivation and never give up attitude.

The Resource Person for the last session of the day was Ms. Seema Prabhu, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Commerce and Management, Canara College, Mangaluru. She emphasized on the importance of communication skills and team work. She also touched upon the various life skills quoting examples.

CSE Faculty invited as Program Committee member for International Conference IMCIC 2022 to be held at Orlando, Florida, USA

Dr. Mustafa Basthikodi, Professor, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering is invited as the Program Committee member for prestigious 13th International Multi-Conference on Complexity, Informatics and Cybernetics: IMCIC 2022, to be held from March 8-11, 2022, organized by International Institute of Informatics and Systemics (IIIS), at Orlando, Florida, USA.
IMCIC 2022 is an international forum for scientists and engineers, researchers and consultants, theoreticians and practitioners in the fields of Complexity, Informatics, and Cybernetics. IMCIC-2022 will bring together scholars and professionals from the three fields, Complexity, Informatics and Cybernetics, in order to promote and foster inter-disciplinary communication and interactions among them; in order to make possible the intellectual humus required for inter-disciplinary synergies, inter-domain cross-fertilization and the production of creative analogies. Dr. Mustafa is serving as Program Committee member of this prestigious International Conference since 2017 continuously.
