VTU Local Inspection Committee (LIC) Visited Sahyadri

The LIC visited Sahyadri on 13th July'2022 for the recommendation to Academic Year 2022-23 affiliation process. Dr. Rajesha S, Principal, presented the achievements at the Institute and Department Level as well as the Academic Report of AY 2021-22
The committee appreciated the various activities and initiatives practiced at the institution for the development and up-skilling of faculty and students. Mr. Jagannath Chowta, Trustee; Mr. Devadas Hegde, Trustee; Dr. Manjappa S, Director R&D and Consultancy; Vice Principal, CoE, COO, Deans and HoDs, Finance Officer, and AAO were present in the meeting.

Keerthesh from the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering has been recruited by Ribbon Communications. CTC offered is INR 7LPA.

A Research Article titled 'Heat transfer studies on double tube heat exchanger with combined effect of propeller insert and water-based GO and Al2O3 nanofluids' authored by Dr. Shankara Murthy H M, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and co-authored by Dr. Ramakrishna N Hegde, Professor and Head, Dept. of Automobile Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru has been published in Q2 Journal Sadhana - Academy Proceedings in Engineering Sciences, Springer Nature.

EMERGENT 2022, A students' Symposium

FLAMES in collaboration with the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, will be organising EMERGENT 2022, a students' symposium on the 15th of July 2022.
Students will be presenting about 74 Original Research and Review papers on the latest trends in Mechanical engineering and their allied fields. The abstracts of the accepted papers will be part of the Proceedings of the EMERGENT 2022 symposium. Selected papers will be published (subject to authors' approval) in Peer-reviewed reviewed journals and books of SCOPUS recognized publishers (Nova Science, Scrivener-Wiley, IGI Global, and Bentham Science)
