Shreyas C and Dimpal Shetty from Computer Science & Engineering and Nireeksha M N from Information Science & Engineering, have been recruited by Airbus Group India Private Limited for the position of Associate Systems Engineer. One-Day Leadership Development Programe (LDP) for UG Students by MBA Dept.

Dept. of Business Administration organized a One-Day Leadership Development Programme (LDP) on 21st July'2022 for under graduates from all over the State. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Kumar IAS, CEO, DK Zilla Panchayath. Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director-MBA Program, welcomed the gathering and gave a glimpse of Sahyadri and its achievements. Dr. Rajesha S, Principal shared the Presidential Remarks and Prof. Akshitha, the program coordinator expressed gratitude to all for their contribution towards the success of the program.
LDP is a student-centred, holistic experience focused on helping undergraduates to enhance their leadership ability. It helped the students to understand the significant qualities of a leader. A total of 135 students state-wide had registered for this event.

First session was conducted by Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and Principal Investigator at the Digital Forensics and Cyber Security Centre on the topic - 'Think Different'. He gave insights on different attributes of leadership like Belief and Trust, being up-to-date, self-motivation and Gratitude. He concluded the session by quoting that only a dead fish goes with the water flow whereas a leader should always think unique and stand different among the crowd.

Second Session was engaged by Prof. Ramesh K G, Dean-Strategic Planning on the topic - 'Leaders are not born, they are made'. He shared anecdotes of great leaders from different industries in the world. He said - "Leaders do not emerge overnight; it takes a lot of practice or failures to be successful". He concluded by saying that individuals should acquire various qualities to be a great Leader.
Third session was engaged by Mr. Subhash Bangera, Entrepreneur, Soft Skills facilitator, Performance Advisor, on - 'Dream Big'. He explained the purpose of life and how we should utilize every opportunity what we get. He said - "Every individual is a leader by their own style, at last they have to contribute to others for their turning point of life".
