Dept. of CSE Celebrated ARPAN-22

Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering Student's Association-CLOUDS celebrated ARPAN-22, a cultural extravaganza on 18th June 2022, Saturday. As a part of this event, various cultural, sports, and technical activities were organized for the students and faculty. Ms. Pratheeksha S Karandoor, Technical Support Engineer at Microsoft, Guest of Honour spoke on her journey at Sahyadri and also shared the key stones to success according to her. Mr. Srajan Kumar Tonse, Sound Engineer at 93.5 Red FM, Guest of Honour, in his speech, motivated the students to take part in cultural events along with academics. Dr. Rajesha S, Principal, presided over the session and spoke on the importance of cultural events in students' life. He said - "Everyone must take timely breaks from academics to restart and re-innovate in their respective fields". Dr. Pushpalatha K, Head-Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering; Dr. Mustafa Basthikodi, Associate Professor, Prof. Shailesh Shetty, Staff Coordinator, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, were also present during the occasion. Prize was distributed to all winners of the events. After the formal function, various cultural activities were carried out by the students and faculty members.

Dr. Prabhu interacts with the Goa Cyber Police

Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and Principal Investigator at the Digital Forensics and Cyber Security Centre of Excellence was invited by the Goa Cyber Police to interact with their officers.
SP Cyber Nidhin Valsan, IPS and Dr. Prabhu discussed about the various cybercrimes, ways to detect and prevent it. Dr. Prabhu also shared some tips to make investigation simpler and faster. Dr. Anush Bekal, Associate Professor and Head-Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering was also present in the interaction. Inspector Rahul Parab, Officers Sandesh, Rajesh and others were present.
