Haneena from Computer Science & Engineering has been recruited by Google for the Technical Solutions Engineer role.
Her role is to support customers on next-generation technologies and helping customers approach and resolve technology problems by diagnosing and solving real world problems.

World Environment Day at Sahyadri

Sahyadri Institute Innovation Council (IIC) in association with Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB), Mangaluru organized the 'World Environment Day' on the theme 'Only One Earth' on 7th June 2022 in the campus.
Dr. Manjappa S, Director-R&D and Consultancy, President- Sahyadri IIC, in his welcome speech, spoke about the inception of World Environment Day and about various Acts amended by the State and Central Government to protect the earth and natural resources.
Sri. Kumaraswamy D R, Member Secretary (Retd.), KSPCB, Bengaluru, the Theme speaker, briefed about the evolution of earth, water resources, and solar system and the contribution of humanity towards sustainable development.

Dr. Maheshwari Singh, Deputy Environmental Officer, KSPCB, Mangaluru, Guest speaker, spoke about how we can protect the Earth during day-to-day activities. She also read out the pledge to the audience re-iterating the dedication towards protecting Mother Earth.
Dr. Rajesha S, Principal, spoke about student responsibility and emphasized on managing e-waste in at Sahyadri. Mr. Devadas Hegde, Trustee, Bhandary Foundation, conveyed his best wishes for the Environment-related best practices followed in the institute. Prof. G B Janardhana Swamy, Convenor-IIC delivered the Vote of Thanks and Prof. Lahari Vaidya concluded the inaugural ceremony.
The program came to an end by planting saplings in the campus by the Guests, Students and Faculty from various departments of the institution.

Inaugural Day: Sahyadri Volleyball League (SVL) - 2022 (Men & Women)

Sahyadri Volleyball League (SVL) - 2022, an Inter-Class Volleyball Tournament for the students of all branches of Engineering and MBA, scheduled during 7th to 15th June 2022, at the Sahyadri Ground, was inaugurated by Swami Ekananda, Ramakrishna Mutt, the Chief Guest and Mr. Savan S Shetty, Karnataka Team Volleyball Player, the Guest of Honour. SVL-2022 is organized by the Dept. of Physical Education and Student Council Members of Sahyadri, comprising of Sanjay K, Rishith Gatty and Varun. Eight teams are participating in this tournament.

Dr. Prabhu interacts with the newly promoted District Judges

Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and Principal Investigator at the Digital Forensics and Cyber Security Centre interacted with 40 newly promoted District Judges of Karnataka at the Karnataka Judicial Academy, Bengaluru.
In his two-hour interaction, Dr. Prabhu spoke about various reasoning strategies, Cyber security and Cyber Laws and techniques for stress management.
