Mechanical Engineering students win the 'Best Project' Award in the 6th National Level IEEE Project Competition-2022

Dhanush Acharya, Salvin Pinto, Thejas Hegde and Vineeth Lester Pais from 8th Semester, Mechanical Engineering, under the guidance of Prof. Ajith B S, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering have won the 'Best Project' Award in the 6th National Level IEEE Project Competition-2022 for the Project titled 'Modeling of Internal Nano Finishing of Micro Tubes using Ferro-fluid and Rotating Magnetic Field System'. The event was held at GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Mysuru, organized by IEEE Student Branch in Association with IEEE Bangalore section and IEEE Mysore Subsection on 8th June 2022. The Students have been awarded with Certificates and Cash Prize.

Swami Maheshathmanandaji, Ramakrishna Mutt, Goa, visits Sahyadri

Swami Maheshathmanandaji Maharaj from Ramakrishna Mutt, Ponda, Goa, visited Sahyadri and interacted with the Teaching and Non-Teaching staff on 7th June, 2022. In his talk, he explained the importance of commitment and sincerity to work. He motivated faculty to be a teacher who transfers good values to the students along with transforming one's life.

First Year Engineering Student receives Accident Medical Claim through College Group Insurance Policy

Ms. K N Fathima Nidha, a First year Engineering student received a sum of Rs. 58,668/- as an Accident Medical Claim through the College Accident Group Insurance Policy. The student had an unfortunate accident recently.
Sahyadri has provided accident group insurance coverage to all students and one parent of the students through TATA AIG Insurance.
Ms. K N Fathima Nidha has received Rs. 58668/- (100% treatment expense) incurred for the treatment. Dr. Manjappa S, Director- R&D and Consultancy; Mr. Ramesh Hegde, Finance Officer and Ms. Shreelatha U A, AAO, handed over the cheque to the student. Ms. Rashmitha G Nishal, Student Welfare Officer assisted in the claim process.

CSE Faculty Presented a Paper in an International Conference

On 8th June 2022, Prof. Sharathchandra N R and Dr. B C Prem Kumar, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering presented a paper on the topic - 'Advanced IOT Based fingerprint voting system' in the International Conference on Technology for Industry 4.0 Revolution (ICTIR-2022) organized by Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering & Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru. The conference intended to have deliberation of advanced topics belonging to Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical and applications in different Engineering domains that are very much relevant to Industry 4.0 Revolution.
