Sahyadri continues to be Recognized as the Host Institute (HI) for implementation of the Incubation component under MSME Innovative Scheme (MSME Champion scheme)

In the recent meeting held at MSME Office, GoI, New Delhi under the Chairmanship of AS & DC (MSME), Sahyadri has been approved to continue as Host Institute (HI) for implementation of the Incubation component under MSME Innovative Scheme (MSME Champion scheme). Sahyadri is eligible to submit new innovative ideas for getting financial support under the New MSME Innovative (Incubation Component) scheme.

CSE Dept. organizes a Technical Talk on "Software Requirements"

On March 11th '2022, Friday, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering in association with Institute Innovation Council, Ministry of Human Resource Development Initiative, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) and Institute of Engineers (IEI) organized a talk on "Software Requirements" for 3rd Semester CSE, AI & ML, and DS Students which was facilitated by Dr. Adesh N D, Assistant Professor, Manipal Institute of Technology, MAHE, Manipal.
The key aspects covered during the Talk were:
  • Importance of Software Requirements
  • Introduction to the different types of Software requirements
  • This program was coordinated by Prof. Srinivas PM, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering under the guidance of Dr. Pushpalatha K, Head-Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering.
    Faculty members - Prof Girish S, Prof. Harisha, Prof. Kishore Kumar, Prof. Vidya V, Prof. Suhas A Bhyratae, and Prof. Shiji Abraham were present during the Talk.

    In commemoration of International Women's Day, Sahyadri Women Cell and NSS unit jointly organized a session on "Break The Barrier" for all lady faculty members and staff on 11th March, 2022 in the Ground Floor Seminar Hall at 4.00 pm.
    Dr. Malini N Hebbar, Principal, Swasthika National School was invited as a guest for the Programme. Dean-Academics Dr. Nalini Rebello; Women Cell Co-ordinator Dr. F. Jyothi Serrao; NSS Cell Coordinator and AAO Ms. Shreelatha U A were present during the programme.
    In the beginning of the programme, Dean-Academics Dr. Nalini Rebello shared a few thoughts on the occasion of women's day followed by the session from the guest Dr. Malini Hebbar.
    Dr. Malini Hebbar, a prominent speaker, in her talk, gave an overview of the history and significance of women's day, introduced some of the remarkable Indian women freedom fighters and their struggles and contribution to the women's rights and also the "Suffrage Movement" which resulted in gaining the full voting rights for the women, to the audience.
    Womens_Day She emphasized on the main issue of gender equity, which women have been fighting since 1908 for their rights in the male dominating society. She also gave the awareness on the difference between equity and equality, stereotypes, domesticity and victims of invisible forces, global gender gap reports etc.
    Finally, Dr. Malini influenced and inspired all the women participants to twin focus on the celebration as well as fight for the rights of women and excel in professional life, so that one can contribute towards women's rights.
    Prof. Lahari Vaidya, Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering, hosted the occasion. All the women teaching and non-teaching staff have witnessed the programme.

    DELNET_NLSL Dr. Bharathi and Dr. Shwetha Kumari, Librarians, Central Library participated in the DELNET-NLSL online conference on "Transforming Libraries & Empowering LIS Professionals : From Building Collections to Making Connections" for LIS Professionals in Sri Lanka organized by DELNET, New Delhi & National Library of Sri Lanka (NLSL), Colombo.
