AI-ML Students attend Expert Lecture under AICTE Distinguished Chair Professor Scheme
On March 7th'2022, AICTE in collaboration with Jagan Institute of Management Studies (JIMS), Delhi organized an Expert Talk by Dr. M L Munjal, AICTE Distinguished Chair Professor & INSA Honorary Scientist on the topic "Towards Creative Thinking". The talk covered key takeaways related to creative thinking, challenges faced all time, Articulating the problems, Enjoying the process of research, working on practical problems, Being resourceful, refusing to get disturbed, Desirability of industrial consultancy, the need for mental mathematics, desirability of self-study and update knowledge continually. He also said that Research and Teaching should be hand in hand as research brings passion to teaching and teaching rejuvenates the researcher. The beneficiaries of the talk were 2nd year Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning students.
Dr. Prabhu delivers a Lecture at the National Webinar on Cyber Security for Women
Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and Principal Investigator at the Digital Forensics and Cyber Security Center of Excellence at Sahyadri was invited by ISEA to deliver a lecture at the National Webinar on Cyber Security for Women. The webinar was supported by The Ministry of Electronics and IT, Govt of India and Project Cyber Safe Girl.
Dr. Prabhu spoke about "Careers for Women in the field of Cyber Security". In his exhaustive lecture, Dr. Prabhu spoke about degree, certification and other courses one can pursue to work in the domain of Cyber Security. Dr. Prabhu also highlighted the newly introduced BE in Computer Science & Engineering with Cyber Security Specialization at Sahyadri and invited the students to visit the CoE. The lecture was followed by Q and A. Ch. Jagadish Babu, Assistant Director, Ms. Simi and others from ISEA and CDAC were present.

Bangalore Section is geographically divided into three sub section, Mangalore Subsection, Mysuru Subsection & North Karnataka Subsection. Branch counsellor meeting is conducted once in three months and this is the first meet of year 2022.
