Mr. Ramesh K. G.
Mr. Abhay Kumar
Ms. Ankitha Shetty
Mr. Ramesh K. G., Mr. Abhay Kumar, and Ms. Ankitha Shetty, faculty members of the Department of Business Administration attended the Manel Srinivas Nayak Knowledge Series organized by MSNM Institute of PG Studies, Mangalore. Sri. G. Padmanabhan, Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India, delivered a talk on “Is India Ready for Full Capital Account Convertibility?”

Capital Account Convertibility means freedom to convert local financial assets into foreign assets at market-determined exchange rates which leads to free exchange of currency at lower rates and an unrestricted mobility of capital. This is beneficial for a country because inflow of foreign investment increases and the flip side though, is that it could destabilise an economy due to massive capital flows in and out of the country.
