Kavya_Nagesh Kavya Nagesh Naik from Electronics & Communication Engineering has been recruited by Sasken Technologies for the position of Associate Software Engineer. CTC offered is INR 5 LPA.

MBA Faculty and Students visit Campco Chocolate Factory, Puttur

A total of 110 students from final year MBA, visited Campco Chocolate Factory, Puttur in two batches on 30th May 2022 and 31st May 2022. The students were accompanied by four faculty members - Prof. Manjunath Kamath, Prof. Akshatha P, Prof. Akshitha and Prof. Abhilash. The visit exposed the students to real working environment of Campco. The students were able to understand the production process and also showed interest in understanding the marketing strategy as well as HR policies of Campco.
Campco Chocolate factory was set up in 1986 with the capacity to produce 8,800 metric tonnes of chocolate. Today, they produce over 23,000 tonnes of cocoa-based products. Equipped with the most modern imported machinery, passionate chocolate artistes produce cocoa mass, cocoa powder, moulded chocolates, premium chocolate bars, and other cocoa-based products all in one place.
The Department is grateful to Mr. Radhesh-HR Head, Campco Chocolate Factory, for providing an opportunity to visit their organization.

Dept. of Mechanical Engineering organized an Awareness Program on 'Attractive Career Options in Merchant Navy'

Dept. of Mechanical Engineering in association with Sahyadri Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), FLAMES, ISTE, IEI, ISME organized an awareness program on 'Attractive career options in Merchant Navy' for the Mechanical Engineering students on 20th May 2022, Friday at 10.00am.
Prof. Raj Mohan M., Dean-Marine Engineer from R L Institute of Nautical Science, Madurai, Tamil Nadu was the resource person.
The key topics discussed were:
  • Merchant Navy as an attractive career option
  • Career prospectus at sea
  • Travel the world with a career
  • Various Courses offered
  • AwarenessAwareness

    Prof. Raj Mohan briefly explained about the Graduate marine Engineering (GME) Course, duration of the course, academic activities, placement opportunities and road map towards the course completion. He encouraged the students for opting the mechanical engineering course and also highlighted on the importance of academics along with the extracurricular activities to be adopted. He also mentioned about the assistance offered by RLINS in Registration of INDOS, Seafarers Profile Registration, Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC), Technical training in our ship-in-Campus etc., Total of 150 students from sixth semester mechanical engineering took the benefit of the session.
