Chairman interacts with the Parents of new entrants to the Engineering program

Chairman, Mr. Manjunath Bhandary welcomed the parents of new entrants to Sahyadri and held an interaction with them on 8th Nov’2021. He explained about the current scenario of Technical Education in India, the latest developments, the challenges and the vast opportunities that students have in the field of Engineering. He emphasized on the importance of building Skill-sets in order to attract the best job offers in the employment market. He re-iterated what the college expects from the students as well as their parents and also encouraged the parents to express their expectations from the institution.
Mr. Bhandary spoke about the various programmes and innovative initiatives undertaken by Sahyadri in order to help the students get the best industry exposure thereby upgrading their skills.
Dr. Rajesha S, Principal also interacted with the parents and explained the Academic aspects of the Engineering program. A total of 146 parents attended the interaction session in two batches

Three-Day PGCET Training for MBA Aspirants, a Community Initiative of Sahyadri

Like every year, Dept. of Business Administration organizes a Three-Day PGCET Training for MBA Aspirants and this year it has been scheduled to be held during 8th to 10th Nov’21 on ZOOM Platform with 597 Registrations received already.
On the first day, during the Inaugural ceremony, Dr. Rajesha S, Principal, welcomed the gathering and shared the importance of organizing such a programme. Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director-MBA Program shared the glimpse of Sahyadri and the MBA department to the participants. Prof. Sushma V, coordinator of the programme threw light on the three-day event, the subjects covered and the resource persons. She gave heads up on the last session – “PGCET Process” which will answer most of their queries related to PGCET and the next course of action after the PGCET. Mr. Nageswara, in-house Aptitude Trainer facilitated the session on “Quantitative Analysis” on 8th Nov’21 during 9.30 am to 12 noon.

Two students from the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and Three from the Dept. of Information Science & Engineering have been recruited by HashedIn for the role of Software Engineer-I in the recently held virtual Campus Recruitment Drive. The CTC offered is INR 8.1 LPA.

Student Counsellor invited as a Resource Person by Lions Centre - Spandana Special School

Mr. Ankith S Kumar, Student Counsellor was invited by Lions Centre-Spandana Special School, Surathkal for a talk on "Stress Management and coping mechanisms for Caregivers of Special Children". The talk was organized for the teachers and parents of Children with Special needs. A total of 100 people attended the session.
