ECE Student Secures 2nd Place in Kannada Essay Writing Competition

Anitha P M, a student of 5th Semester, Electronics & Communication Engineering won Second place in Kannada Essay Writing Competition jointly organized by All India Radio and Government First Grade College, Hebri. More than one hundred candidates participated in this competition conducted for the students and youth of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasargod districts.
Anitha wrote about “Covid–19 Pandemic and Lockdown: Their Long Term Impact on Education”. She won a Cash Prize of Rs. 2,000 and valuable books. Recorded audio of the essay will be broadcasted on 15th Nov’2021 in Yuvavani, All India Radio, Mangaluru at 5:00 PM.
Shri Devu Hanehalli, Station Director, AIR, immensely supports students and Staff of Sahyadri to participate in various events and give programmes either in Kannada, English or in Hindi language at All India Radio, Mangaluru.

13th IQAC Meeting held at Sahyadri

The 13th Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Meeting was held on 10th Nov’2021 in a Blended mode. The meeting was attended by the internal committee members, academic and industrial experts. Dr. Shamanth Rai, Head of Dept. of Information Science & Engineering & Coordinator, IQAC presented the agenda-wise statistics to the committee and listed out various quality metrics for the upcoming Academic Year. Post the presentation, a brief discussion was held, wherein Dr. Rajesha S, Principal & Chairperson, IQAC apprised the committee about the various activities planned by the IQAC for the new academic year. The experts appreciated the efforts of the institute and the team and provided various suggestions for the quality enhancement. Dr. Manjappa S, Director R&D and Consultancy, was the special invitee for the 13th IQAC Meeting. Dr. Shamanth Rai provided the concluding remarks.

Sahyadri Welcomes the New Batch of Engineering students through Bridge Course - Batch 3

Day 7 (15th Nov’2021)

Day 7 of the Bridge Course was conducted for the students as a progressive session to build the Line Follower Bot and all the Teams competed with Line Follower Bot. Team DTi Labz helped the students to complete their Bots using Dream Kit. Students were then introduced to an online graphic designing tool Canva, to create creative presentations for their final presentation.
